La Digue Island
Thus is the third largest granite island in Seychelles in terms of population,housing about 2,500 peoples.It is half hour trip from Praslin,or three hours by schooner from Mahe.However visitors with a tight schedule may prefer to take the 20 minute flight with Helicopter Seychelles.The place of life is very slow,about the same speed as its traditional way of transport - the ox cart !Very few cars are allowed on the island and bicycles are popular.There are more spectacular granite formations which have been shaped by wind and sea over millions of years.Eagle`s nest mountains rises dramatically to 300 metres,taking most of the island.
